Grandma's PEACH COBBLER Recipe

½ cup granulated
White Sugar |
 |
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
|
 |
1 Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
|
 |
¼ lb. (1
stick) salted Butter |
 |
½ teaspoon Lemon
Juice |
 |
1 14 oz. can Sliced Peaches,
drained. Reserve the Syrup |
Preheat oven to 325°.
Inspect the peaches for pieces of pits and bad spots. Discard the bad.
Soften butter into a 13" x 9" low casserole dish.
In a mixing bowl, mix sugar and flour until very well blended.
Add in milk and continue to mix thoroughly.
Add in the lemon juice and peach syrup. Mix thoroughly.
In the casserole dish, add the peaches to the butter. Stir.
Pour cobbler liquid over peaches. Do not stir again.
Place in the preheated 325° oven.
Bake until Cobbler is golden brown, approximately 1 hour.
Cover and allow to cool slightly before serving.
